A Piece of My Mind (Art With Everything – Mandalas)

Water colours and fine liner pens on paper, A3

Nature, be it in the guise of a creator or a destroyer, is beautiful anyways and always!

There’s as much beauty in a raging storm in the sea, as there is in a calm afternoon in a grassy countryside.

The skies look gorgeous in both blue and purple. (And pink, red and orange.)

So as I was marvelling at the various facets of nature in my mind, I ended up drawing the ones I like the best, personally.

Water, trees, sky and flowers.

Don’t ask me how or why, because I wish I knew.

I was just too overwhelmed with the things I love and painting my blues away (oh yeah!), and so this one is rightfully called “A Piece of My Mind”.

I had nature in my mind then. And even now.

  1. Loved it. I’m thinking either ‘lose yourself in nature’ or ‘find yourself in nature.’ Both seem to apply.

  2. So beautiful! I am attracted by the brilliant yellow highlighting the artwork.

    1. Thank you! I thought the yellow would provide some contrast to the blues, and it does to an extent.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words! Nature is beautiful in every way, isn’t it? I don’t think the definition of beauty should be based on my convenience, rather on the phenomenon itself. As a kid I used to appreciate cyclones that raged in my native place. Lots of danger and destruction, mom screaming her lungs out for me to come inside the house, but me, I so loved to see how everything flew! Someone had to lift me in a bundle and bring me indoors🤦‍♀️
